Republican forum “Islam, Youth, Future” to be held in Ufa

Republican forum “Islam, Youth, Future” will take place in the Congress-Hall, Ufa, on April 19. It is initiated by the Presidential Administration RB, the Council for state and inter-confessional relations under the President RB, the Government RB, the Central Clerical Muslim Dept of Russia, the Institute of ethnological investigations RB and by the Bashkir State Pedagogical University by M. Akmullah

The forum is held with the purpose of mobilization of creative, scientific and intellectual resources of Muslim representatives for formation of Islam’s positive image, for formation of adequate reaction of the society to restoration of public and social functions in Republic and in the country by religion, for consolidation of Muslim community and the whole society for comprehension of Islamic cultural heritage and counteraction to spreading of radical Muslim ideologies and for integration of religious and secular education.

Representatives of Muslim youth, clergy, pedagogues, scientists, public activists and leaders of Republican authority, including Bashkortostan’s VIPs, will take part in work of the forum.

The chairman of the Council for state and inter-confessional relations under the President RB Vyacheslaw Pyatkov reports the forum will gather about 700 delegates and according to him such meetings have never been held in the Republic before.

“We have to show that all conditions for Muslims are present in the republic today” – he said – “We also have to show what institutes influence upon modern society. Our young people should follow traditional Islam”.

The beginning of the forum is scheduled on 10 o’clock in the morning. Republican VIPs, Muslim leaders and representatives of Muslim youth will take the floor at the plenary session. After lunch break and a prayer the forums’ sections in the form of debates will work on three separate sites. Thus, the chairman of the Central Clerical Muslim Dept of Russia, Supreme Mufti Talgat Tadjuddin will take the floor at the first section, devoted to relations between youth and state. The second site will be devoted to resources of Islam and youth and the third – to influence of Islamic culture and education upon youth.
