Regional stage of all-Russian contest “Polyglot-2012” starts at Bashkir State University

Regional stage of the all-Russian linguistic student contest “Plolyglot-2012” will take place at Bashkir State University today and it is held within the frames of the agreement of interaction between Bashkir State University and the directorate of the XXVII World Summer Student Games-2013 in Kazan.

The contest of linguists is held in six languages; English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese and Arab.

Students will struggle for the main prize in two nominations: “Polyglot” – for students of all non-lingual faculties, knowing two foreign languages (English is obligatory). Students of all lingual and non-lingual faculties, mastering two and more foreign languages professionally, take part in the nomination “Polyglot Pro” (English is obligatory again).

According to the stage’s results two winners and four prize-winners will be determined in every nomination. All of them will join the all-Russian stage of the contest, held in Kazan on April 4-6.

Winners of the contest may work as volunteers in directions “Attaché” and “Interpreters” within the frames of the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit “Vladivostok-2012” on September 1-10, 2012, and at big all-Russian and international sports competitions of 2012 in Kazan. All of them will receive permits for participation in the XXVII World Summer Student Games-2013.
