Volga federal district won the first place in Russia by the number of ballots for Vladimir Putin in the course of the presidential elections on March 4, the press-service of the Chief Federal Inspector in Republic of Bashkortostan reported to “Bashinform”.
The attendance in Volga federal district amounted to 69,11% on average, while the all-Russian average index was equal to 65,3%. 68,19% of electors in Volga federal district have voted in support of Vladimir Putin, while in Russia this number was equal to 63,7%.
The Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district Michael Babitch reports that 22,5 thousand web-cameras ensured transparency of voting at election stations of the district. All international observers have marked maximal frankness and legitimate character of elections in Volga federal district.
“International observers have highly estimated the elections” – Michael Babitch said – “112 observers were working in nine regions of Volga federal district. From the point of view of technologies they were pleasantly surprised by what they were watching in the course of this election campaign. They’ve publicly said about it to journalists. All of them came to the conclusion that it would be useful to spread similar experience in those countries, which they came to us from”.
