Government of Russia will approve state program for development of agriculture till 2020

State program for development of agriculture till 2020 will be approved in the country in 2012, the Chairman of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin reported to participants of all-Russian agrarian forum in Ufa.

“We have to give powerful and long-term impetus to development of agriculture, including small and medium business in our villages” – Vladimir Putin said – “We have to create favorable conditions in order to make our agriculture competitive. The process of import substitution should be accelerated several times for consolidation of our positions in Russian internal market and it is especially important on the eve of joining WTO”.

The Chairman of the Russian Government has also reported that the leadership of the country decided to prolong the federal goal-oriented program “Social development of villages” till 2013. “We have to build up really modern social policy for the countryside, based on the interests of citizens first of all, especially in such spheres as education and health protection. At present time we are working at “The program for stable development of rural territories” and it has to cover all main directions of social, engineering and housing-communal rural infrastructure”.
