Russia to appropriate six billion rubles for support of hog breeding in 2012
Russia will appropriate six billion rubles for support of hog breeding in 2012, the Chairman of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin has stated at the all-Russian agrarian forum in Ufa.
According to M-r Putin it is planned to appropriate six billion rubles every year for support of hog breeding during six years within the frames of a special program. Therefore, 18 billion rubles will be spent for development of this branch of agriculture in total complexity.
Vladimir Putin has also mentioned that country has to increase cattle farming. In his opinion Russian agrarians have nearly reached the volumes, necessary for internal consumption. But imported meat is still present in Russian market, so it has to be forced out through increase of homemade cattle farming. This is the problem the Chairman of the Russian Government poses before Russian agriculture.
