In the nearest two-three years the demand in pork in Russia will be fully met due to internal production. By 2020 the country has to be completely supplied with homemade meat and milk, the Minister for agriculture of Russia Elena Skrynnik stated today during the all-Russian agrarian forum in Ufa.
“New state program for development of agriculture and regulation of agricultural markets in 2013-2020 presumes making maximally favorable conditions for development of small business undertakings in villages and for formation of the class of strong owners” – she reported.
Provision of food safety, maintaining of high level of profitability and investment attractiveness of agriculture and all-sided development of social infrastructure in the countryside will become the key goals of the program, worked up at present time.
Besides, development of food market infrastructure, farmings and small business, export of agricultural output and foods, modernization of food and processing industry and development of strategic measures, aimed at lowering of risks in agriculture, related to unfavorable climatic conditions, will become the top priority directions in the nearest future.
