The Center of Space Services is opened in Bashkiria
The Center of Space Services started working on the base of the Bashkir State University and the range of services the center renders is rather wide: reception, registration, processing, archiving and spreading of information, obtained from space, with the use of Russian and foreign equipment for distant probing of the Earth.
“At present time the results of cosmic activity can be successfully used for solution of problems in many spheres: in housing and communal sphere, agriculture, water and road economy, control of the use of land resources and monitoring of situation on specially protected natural territories” – the Director of the Center, candidate of technical sciences, docent of the Bashkir State University’s geographical faculty Shaikhil-Islam Kutushev says.
Using the newest technologies the Center conducts satellite monitoring of lands, natural resources, immovable property objects, bridges and communications.
Similar centers, working in Perm, Kirov, Nizhniy Novgorod and Samara regions, have already proved high efficiency. For example, satellite monitoring allows raising safety of people and optimizing various expenses. Thus, after implementation of satellite control at intercity bus traffic the number of traffic accidents has reduced 14 times in Tatarstan.
