“With the help of digital TV it will become possible not just to transfer high quality picture but to supplement this picture with various interactive services, with the help of which citizens of the Republic can receive more information. Simply speaking digital TV for Bashkortostan is one more form of data transfer” – the Minister for communication and mass communications RB Boris Melkoedov stated to “Bashinform”.
He has mentioned that “Republican TV channels have to change their work in order to be able to supply TV-watchers with corresponding software content by 2015, when the environment for spreading digital signal is expected to be formed in the country”.
It is worth reminding that according to the federal goal-oriented program the transition to digital TV-broadcasting in the country, including Bashkortostan, will cost 122,4 billion rubles in total complexity. The means of the federal budget will amount to 76,4 billion and other 46 billion rubles expected to attract from various off-budget sources. The federal state unitary enterprises “Russian TV and Radio Broadcasting System” and “Space Communication” will bear the main expenses.
