The flower ceremony for young scientists and scientific groups – winners of the competition for the grants RB – has taken place for the sixth time today in the Government RB. The experts examined 200 scientific works and chose 30 best projects, which 44 scientists were working on.
The press-service of the Government RB reports seven thousand people at 60 organizations are engaged in scientific investigations in the Republic today. The winners were rewarded with grants at the rate of 50 thousand rubles each, including the projects in oil chemistry, pharmaceutics, bank system, machine building, jurisprudence, demography, literature and beautification of rural territories.
“Our institute is working on the aviation engine of fifth generation jointly with UMPO and Perm engine plant” – the junior researcher of the Institute for metal super plasticity problems under the Russian Academy of Science Aigul Ganeeva said – “We made several models and my work was devoted to investigation of mechanical behavior of the layered material – titanium alloy. Hollow engine blades are made of this alloy, using the method of diffusion welding and super plasticity forming. The materials for the fifth generation aviation engine have to be maximally light and strong”.
The Vice-Premier of the Government RB Salavat Sagitov presented the diplomas to the grant receivers.
“Science is the engine of progress and our future depends on it” – he said – “That’s why support of science is considered one of the main top priority directions in the Republic. We instituted the award for young scientists in sphere of science and technique and special grants. Our young scientists take an active part in various arrangements, worthily presenting scientific achievements of the Republic”.
