It will contribute to spiritual education of younger generations, to consolidation of relations between parents and children on the base of spiritual-moral and national traditions and will also counteract to activity of extremist religious organizations at Republican education institutions, the press-service of the Metropolitanate in Republic of Bashkortostan reports. The first meeting of the founders has taken place at the Nikola-Railway Station Church of Ufa. The staff of the association consists of four workgroups, which will be busy with educational, enlightener and legal activity on the following directions: work with schools, the care of problem children, counteraction to extremist religious organizations, foisting their ideas on children and teenagers in the guise of educational program. The fourth direction is auxiliary and helps the activity of the first three. At present time the association sets the problem on introduction of “The Basics of Christian Culture” as a part of “The Basics of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” at schools, taking the opinion of the pupils’ parents into account. The association also tries to attract as many new members as possible.
