Two trucks with the cams, meant for installation at the republican election stations, arrived in Bashkiria, the representative of JSC “BASHINFORMSVYAZ” Rushan Kireev reported to the news agency “Bashinform”.
All cams will be preliminary tested and installed at the election stations at the beginning of February by agreement with the Republican Central Electoral Commission. On the eve of the March presidential elections all election stations of the Republic will be supplied with the cams, produced by “SITRONIX” and “KRAFTWAY”.
The Chairman of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin ordered the Russian Ministry for finances and the Russian Communications Ministry to solve the problem with installation of the web-cams at all election stations of Russia (about 95 thousand) together with the Russian Central Electoral Commission in order to avoid the rebukes in falsification of the elections. The cams have to monitor the situation at the election stations both during the process of voting and during calculation of votes in real-time mode. 10-15 billion rubles in total complexity expected to be spent for development of this project on the territory of the country. After the end of the elections, as M-r Putin believes, the cams can be used at the social institutions, where the election stations are located. Vladimir Putin also suggested that all offers on the project with the cams should be placed on the special internet site in order to choose the most optimal variant both by the results and financial expenses.
