The Central Electoral Commission of Russia has decreed that all election stations in the country start turning to the use of transparent ballot boxes. The walls of the boxes will be made of a light transparent material. Earlier manufactured half-transparent ballot boxes will be used only jointly with the ballot processing automated centers (KOIB).
The ballot boxes will be partially changed already on the eve of the presidential elections in March and according to the decree of the Central Electoral Commission RF such boxes will be installed at 530 election stations in Bashkiria. The secretary of the Central Electoral Commission RB Marina Dolmatova reports such boxes will be used in two biggest cities of Bashkiria – in Ufa and Sterlitamac.
