The President RB says that the rise of wages for citizens of Ufa and solution of the problem with unemployment in the city are the key aims, the new Ufa Mayor Irek Yalalov faces now. The President RB indicated these problems, speaking at the meeting of the city council, in the course of which the new head of Ufa administration was elected.
Rustem Khamitov sited Yekaterinburg as an example. The average wage level there is equal to 28 thousand rubles, while in Ufa it makes up just 24 thousand.
“These four thousand is rather big difference for our two neighboring cities” – the President RB says – “At the same time we understand that 24 thousand is still unreachable level for many local citizens and have to do everything possible to raise local wages. Still too many people in the city receive miserable salaries”.
Rustem Khamitov has reminded that Ufa is the leader of industrial production among all Russian cities with one millionth populations, except Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, and the share of unprofitable big and medium enterprises in Ufa is the lowest in Russia.
“It means that our plants are working well, but if it is so, why the salaries are so low? We should find out” – the President RB said.
The problem with shortage of free workplaces in the city is also very painful and municipal authorities have to work hard over solution of this problem, since unemployment causes serious dissatisfaction of people.
