2,85% of Russian population fall on the share of Bashkortostan

The federal state statistics service summed up the results of the all-Russian population census-2010 and, correspondingly, its division in Bashkortostan presented the results of the census in our Republic.

On October 14, 2010, population of Bashkortostan made up 4072292 people.

By population Bashkortostan holds the first place in Volga federal district and the seventh in Russia after Moscow (11503,5 thousand people), Moscow region (7095,1 thousand), Krasnodar region (5226,6 thousand), Saint-Petersburg (4879,6 thousand), Sverdlovsk region (4297,7 thousand) and Rostov region (4278 thousand people). Tatarstan (3786,5 thousand), Chelyabinsk region (3476,2) and Tyumen region (3395,8 thousand) are also found in the Top 10 of Russian regions.

2,85% of the country's population and 13,62% of population of Volga federal district fall on the share of Bashkortostan.

As compared with the population census-2002 the population in the Republic decreased by 32 thousand people (by 0,8%).
