The "round table", where representatives of the authority, political parties and public communities were discussing the initiatives of the Chairman of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin on reformation of the political system in Russia, has taken place at the Bashkir State Pedagogical University by M. Akmullah. Similar discussions were organized in all Russian regions.
The proposals concerning returning to direct elections of the regional governors, lowering of administrative barriers and ensuring of transparency of election campaigns were the key subjects of the debates. These ideas were for the first time announced by Vladimir Putin during his straight line with citizens of Russia. Several days ago these initiatives were announced again with more details in the annual Message of the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev to the Federal Assembly.
As it was marked at the "round table", these ideas have to become a reality but the question, what ways are to be determined for that, still remains unsolved. In this connection it was decided to open similar "round tables" on the regional level. During the discussion several possible variants have been outlined. At that the participants of the debates were unanimous that the political system in the country needed serious restructuring on the legislative level.
