Bashkortostan became one of few Russian regions, where the regional project of the International Labor Organization's concept "Deserved Labor" was found under development. This project has become one of the key subjects at the conference, held in the State Council RB and devoted to realization of this concept on regional and municipal levels.
"It is too early talking about the regional program, initiated by Bashkortostan, as it is, since this document needs certain polishing. At the same time it contains good ideas, for example, the attempt to analyze the social-labor sphere in the Republic. At least we have something to work with as well as the direction for moving forward. We intend to help Bashkortostan to finish this project, which in a certain period of time can become a model for other regions" — the deputy chairman of the Russian Independent Trade-Union Federation Nina Kuzmina says.
The International Labor Organization has formulated and grounded the concept of deserved labor 12 years ago. In opinion of its designers it should be based on four main strategic goals — deserved wages, worthy labor conditions, protection of workers with observance of the balance between the interests of workers and employers and perfection of the social protection systems.
