The President of Bashkortostan has held a meeting with the deputies of the sixth convocation
On December 16 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting with the State Duma deputies of the sixth convocation, elected fr om our Republic. Ten deputies have taken part in the meeting from the political party “United Russia”, two – from the Communist party and one deputy from LDPR.
Rustem Khamitov has congratulated the deputies with the victory and mentioned that the present staff of Bashkir deputies in the lower chamber of the federal parliament was rather numerous – 16 people: 12 deputies from “United Russia”, two from the Communist party. One from LDPR and one – from “Fair Russia”. This is a new situation for the Republic, which earlier was presented only by two parties in the State Duma. Now the number of the parties increased twice.
“This is exactly what we need” — Rustem Khamitov said — “And this is what we call the movement forward or democratization”.
Rustem Khamitov urged the deputies to work hard in the State Duma and called the prior aims, which have to be solved in the first turn: delim itation of competences between the federal and the Republican authority and improvement of inter-budget relations.
“You have to be active in promotion of our initiatives and in protection of the Republican interests” — the President RB said — “We have to use all chances for attraction of investments, specialists and big projects to the Republic”. The President of Bashkortostan expressed the readiness to cooperate with the State Duma deputies for the good of Bashkortostan.
