Security Council has considered actual problems of ecological safety in Bashkortostan
On December 7 the President RB Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting of the Security Council RB re ecological industrial safety.
“There is no need to talk that fr om the ecological point of view the situation in the Republic looks rather threatening and it is quite clear since Bashkortostan is an industrially-developed region and any saturation of its territory with industrial enterprises is accompanied with by the ecological problems” — the President of Bashkortostan mentioned — “Historically the circumstances are that the concentration of harmful productions in the Republic is high and we receive plenty of complaints concerning high gas content in the air of Ufa, Salavat, Sterlitamac and Ishimbay”.
In opinion of the President RB the enterprises of the Republican fuel-energy complex have to pay special attention to ecological safety because the majority of the accidents with air pollutions occur mainly at these plants. Along with the damage from oil spills underground and surface waters turned out to be polluted too because of the overfilled oil slime storages that's why the enterprises should be engaged in waste recycling more actively.
“The provision for the industrial safety is of paramount importance and I think that there's no need explaining what the accidents at these objects, located inside our big cities, wh ere great number of people live nearby, are fraught with. From this point of view the level of safety has to reach 100%” — the President of Bashkortostan underscored.
