The flower ceremony for the winners of the all-Russian contest “The most well-planned urban (rural) settlement of Russia-2010” has taken place in Moscow, the Ministry for regional development of Russia. The town of Oktyabrsky (Bashkiria) has won the third place in the category “Urban settlements with the population from 100 thousand people and more”.
Oktyabrsky wins the rank of one of the most well-planned Russian towns for the third year successively. The indices of development of housing and communal services and well-planning of a municipality are the main criteria of the contest. Nizhnekamsk and Nabereznye Chelny (Tatarstan) have won the first and the second places in the group of the towns with the population from 100 thousand people and more and Oktyabrsky (Bashkiria) and the town of Novorossiysk (Krasnodar region) have shared the third position.
The winners are rewarded with the diplomas of the Russian Government (three degrees) and with the gratuities.
