The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has met the directors of the fuel-energy complex enterprises, found in the staff of “AFK System”. The top-managers of JSC “BASHNEFT” and directors of its daughter companies were also taking part in the gathering.

The indices on oil mining, refining and sales in 2011 were ventilated in the course of the gathering. The participants were also discussing the plans for development of their enterprises in the future.

“There is no sense talking about the meaning of the fuel-energy complex for Bashkortostan” — Rustem Khamitov said — “About 24% of the overall volume of incomes of the consolidated budget RB fall on the enterprises, headed by you. This is about 30 billion rubles. The factory shipments make up almost 50% of the average all-Republican ones. The profits make up 60% and export deliveries – 50%, so it is clear that the fuel-energy complex is considered the core of the Bashkir economics and, sure, we are interested in your plans and how we are going to move forward and work together”.

Rustem Khamitov mentioned that the oil mining in the Republic today is substantially lower than in 1970-1980. That time the Republic mined about 40 million tons of oil annually. Now this figure is equal to 12-13 million. Nonetheless, in opinion of the President RB the Republic still faces good prospects in oil mining.

“We have to continue exploring new oil deposits and have to learn how to develop hard-to-access deposits” — Rustem Khamitov mentioned – "We have to understand how to work further in sphere of oil transportation and oil refining but at the same time we have to be engaged in chemical production too”.

The President of JSC “BASHNEFT” Alexander Korsik told the President RB about the last achievements of his company.

“In a whole we are approaching to the oil output figure at 15 million tons. More than 500 thousand tons are mined in Khanty-Mansiysky autonomous district and the rest – in Bashkiria. So here the progress is evident. In 2012 we also hope for approximately 15 million tons and intend to keep this figure in the course of several next years” — he reported.
