Since 2012 the graduates of medical institutes, wishing to go to work in a countryside, will receive 100 thousand rubles of relocation allowance in addition to one million rubles, meant for acquisition of housing within the frames of the project “Provincial Doctor”. It is worth noting that the project “Provincial doctor” assumes that the federal means are allocated only to the regions, which are ready to take part in the project on the terms of co-funding.
“The decree concerning allocation of 100 thousand rubles to every young doctor, whishing to to go to the countryside and work there during five years after finishing the institute is already signed” — the deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Fidus Yamaltdinov reported during today's press-conference in “Interfax”.
According to the Vice-Premier 3600 medics of various specialties have to work in the countryside according to the standards. At present time the shortage of medics in Bashkir villages amounts to 1280 people and it is planned to send about 300 young doctors to the villages every year.
“In two-three years the problem of shortage of doctors in the countryside can be solved, sure, if the federal program “Provincial doctor” will go on working” — Fidus Yamaltdinov added.
The project “Provincial doctor” was initiated in September 2011 by the “United Russia” leader, the Chairman of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin. The essence of the program is that every young doctor, wishing to go to work in a village and to stay there at least five years after graduation, may receive one million rubles from the state for solution of his (her) social and housing problems.
The program should start working beginning from January 1, 2012, and the federal budget expected to allocate 11 billion rubles for its realization. The lists of senior students and interns are already being formed in Bashkiria.
