Organizer of an extremist cell is sentenced in Birsk

A 19-year-old citizen of Birsk is returned guilty of organization of an extremist cell.

“Since 2009 this young man was secretly propagandizing anti-Russian views, influencing upon religious senses of people. The accused held meetings and lessons at home, searching for the materials about the party for Islamic liberation in internet, making anti-Russian and pro-Islamic leaflets and spreading these leaflets among citizens” — the press-service of the public prosecutor's office RB reports.

The accused categorically denied his guilt but the court returned him guilty. The verdict turned out to be rather soft. The accused is sentenced to one year of imprisonment on probation.
