The acceptance of applications for competition for nomination of the public award “Regions-Stable Development” is going on
Till November 30 citizens of Bashkortostan may take part in the competition for the annual public award “Regions-Stable Development”, initiated by the Government of Russia.
The project is called to reveal the real state of investment climate in the country and to introduce modern instruments and mechanisms for state-private partnership. Objective informing of the leadership of the country, regional, municipal and corporate authorities about situation, observed around the investment projects in the infrastructural sector of economics, is considered the main goal of the project.
The contest is called to unite the efforts of the authority, non-commercial sector and business for revealing and solution of the problems in the infrastructural sector of economics, including the sphere of housing and communal services,waster recycling and wild life protection. The experts will choose the best projects, based on the use of the newest production technologies and managerial solutions, meant for attraction of private investments and providing for ecological safety of population.
In order to take part in the contest, one should fill the special form on the site www.infra-konkurs.ru and to sent the documents to the steering committee of the contest.
The victory ceremony will take place in Moscow on February 16, 2012. The contest's prize pool is divided into two parts – the investment part (23 billion rubles) and the grant part (630 million rubles). The companies and enterprises, receiving the investments for realization of their programs, using state-private partnership mechanisms, have to return the means after the project's payback time is over. The authors of socially important and innovational projects in sphere of water supply and water disposal will be financed at the expense of the grant fund.
The best projects in sphere of wild life protection “Eco”, in social sphere “Socio” and in industrial sphere “Techno” will be rewarded with special prizes in every of five nominations: “The Person of the Year”, “The Innovation of the Year”, “The Modernization of the Year”, “The Best Habitat” and “The Award Grand-Prix”.
In addition to the best projects the steering committee of the contest will reward the leaders of the special category “Anti-Eco” — the heads of regions and municipalities, contributing to realization of economically unreasonable, unprofitable projects, negatively affecting the rise of housing and communal tariffs and avoiding environmental innovational technologies. The “winners” in the nominations “The Failure of the Year”, “The Polluter of the Year” and “The Horrors of our Town” will be also announced.
