Eugene Mavrin: “The Ministry for economic development RB faces strategic challenges”

author: Lubov Kolokolova

The online-conference with the Minister for economic development RB Eugene Mavrin was just over on the site of “The Public Electronic Newspaper” and more than 20 questions were asked.

One of the questions was “Two agencies in our Republic are occupied with the economical problems – the Ministry for economic development and the Ministry of industry and innovational policy. Do the spheres of their activity cross? What are the prior goals for  the Ministry for economic development and how the Ministry is going to work in 2012?”

“In reality more than two ministries are occupied with the economical problems  - the Ministry of agriculture, the Ministry of forestry and the Ministry for nature management and ecology along with the abovementioned ones” — Eugene Mavrin explained — “But our aims are different. Our Ministry is busy with macroeconomics and strategy and the activity of the Ministry of industry and innovational policy is concerned with the concrete projects”.

At present time four directions in activity of the Ministry for economic development are determined: the strategy for development of the Republic, formation of investment flows, state and private partnership and territorial development, i.e development on the municipal level.
