According to the results of the investigation, made by the Institute for territorial planning “URBANICA” (Saint-Petersburg) the rate of the Russian cities by attractiveness for habitation was determined and orientation towards the needs of an average statistical citizen of Russia became its main peculiarity, so the index “price/quality” (the cost of habitation in relation to the quality of habitation environment) became the main parameter, defining the place of the city in the rate.
It turned out that the capital of Russia Moscow failed to stay even in the Top 3 of the best Russian cities with the population more than one million people. Other capitals occupied the honorable podium: Saint-Petersburg, Ufa and Novosibirsk and Surgut was announced the best in the country.
The Top 10 of the most attractive for residence Russian cities according to “URBANICA” version looks in the following way: Surgut, Tyumen, Krasnodar, Nizhnevartovsk, Saint-Petersburg, Ufa, Stary Oskol, Novosibirsk, Moscow and Murmansk.
