Scientists from Bashkortostan introduced an ecological project to the President of Russia
The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has met young businessmen, scientists and innovators at the Moscow school for economics and management “Skolkovo”. The junior researcher from the Institute of biology under the Ufa Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences Lilia Anisimova – the author of the project “The bio-preparation for purification of environment from pesticides” — was also participating in the meeting. For the first time this project was introduced to the President of Russia in 2009.
Within the frames of the project the scientists have invented the first in the world bio-preparation, able to neutralize toxic substances, found in water and soil, with high efficiency (up to 98%). Seven unique strains of bio-bacterias decompose dangerous substances into water and CO2. The bacterias are absolutely harmless so their use is safe for people and animals. The use of such technology allows solving the problems with high volumes of contamination and is able to return polluted agricultural lands to the land use for cultivation of ecologically clean vegetables.
During the meeting with the President of Russia Lilia Anisimova reported that this method was successfully used in several Russian regions and abroad.
“Two years ago I told about my project “Designing of biological preparations for environment purification from pesticides” — she said to the head of the state — “At present time we produce the lots of ecologically safe foods. During two years we were purifying the pesticide storehouses in Altai and Rostov region, working even on the corn plantations of Mexico. It means we can solve not just the internal Russian problems”.
Lilia Anisimova has expressed hope that if the project is approved by the President of Russia, so it will be supported by the Ministry of agriculture of Russia.
Dmitry Medvedev was interested what was necessary for inculcation of this design. In opinion of Lilia Anisimova the obligatory certification of ecologically safe foods is necessary as well as the perfection of the legislation in sphere of toughening of the quality control.
Lilia Anisimova is an employee of the Institute of biology since 2009. The project represents the result of work of the genetics group of the Institute. The work over the project is going on during more than 10 years.
