Ecological program “Unwrapping” started in Russia
The public ecological movement “Eco” launched the program “Unwrapping” in Russia, aimed at active use of ecologically safe package in everyday life. The program is already supported by the chairman of the State Duma committee for natural resources, nature management and ecology Eugene Tugolukov.
“The problem of use and recycling of the plastic package is actual for the whole world. People made sure that so allegedly convenient and harmless plastic bags caused irreversible damage to our environment. Sure, we have to pass new legislation in this sphere but even the best laws can't solve this problem. I do hope that the initiatives, launched by “Eco”, are able to overcome our indifference to that heritage, which we still can and have to preserve. It is also important that such programs can become the starting point for new initiatives of younger generation, for those people, who will live in the future country and for all those, who are not indifferent to what this country will look like” — Eugene Tugolukov said.
“Our purpose is to make the community of those, who are ready to support wide inculcation of the alternative and ecologically safe package, at the same time informing the population about danger and harm of the plastic package” — the head of “Eco” in Bashkortostan Guzelle Latypova reported to “Bashinform”.
At present time the sociological poll is running in the Republic as well as in the majority of Russian regions and any person may take part in it. The investigation is planned to finish by the end of the year.
In Bashkortostan the all-Russian program “Unwrapping” started in September with the action “The Planet without Bag”. More detailed information about the program “Unwrapping” can be found on the site www.stopplastic.ru.
