Representatives of Bashkortostan have paid an official visit to Riga and Urmala

Representatives of Bashkortostan have paid a visit to Latvia in the staff of Russian delegation. The trip was dated to presentation of the special issue of the Russian media-brand “Absolutely Secretly”, devoted to Latvia and aimed at activation of Russian-Latvian partnership in various spheres, the project's curator Natalie Rusinova reported to the news agency “Bashinform”.

The staff of the Bashkir delegation consisted of the Plenipotentiary of Bashkortostan under the President of Russia Rustem Vildanov and the representative of the UNESCO committee RB in the Baltic region Rina Khamitova. The staff of the group from Russia also included delegates from Kirov, Novgorod and Volgograd regions.

Not only the acquaintance with the project by “Absolutely Secretly” but also the acquaintance with Riga and Urmala and search for  the forms of mutually beneficial cooperation with Latvia and Russian regions in such spheres as tourism, culture, education, transit and business were the key goals of the visit.

The President of the holding “Absolutely Secretly” Veronica Borovik-Khiltchevskaya, the Vice-Mayor of Riga Andris Ameriks, the Vice-Mayor of Urmala Maris Dzenitis, deputies of Riga and Urmala Dumas, representatives of business circles and popular public activists of Latvia accompanied Russian guests.

The delegates have visited the Duma of Riga, the seaport of Riga, the Duma of Urmala and the main tourist objects in these Latvian cities.
