It is quite possible that the youth space-aviation center will appear in Ufa in a year. The plans for its establishment were under discussion in the Republic House on Monday, September 26. The members of the Russian Cosmonautics Federation’s delegation came to have a talk to the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov with the President of the Federation, the twice Hero of the Soviet Union, space pilot, Colonel-General Vladimir Kovalenok at the head.
The President RB thanked the cosmonauts for organization of the Bashkir pupils’ trip to Baikonur in April 2011, where the pupils were taking part in the jubilee launch of the spaceship “Soyuz TMA-21”.
It is planned the new center will combine two subjects – aviation and cosmonautics because one of the biggest aviation clusters in Russia is found here, in the Republic. Five enterprises work in this direction only in Ufa plus three companies, busy with aviation engine production and design.
As Rustem Khamitov mentioned, the basic center should be located in Ufa. By the way, JSC “GASPROM NEFTEHIM SALAVAT” is ready to open a center’s division on its territory. It is planned the center will occupy 7-10 thousand square meters.
“We will include this project into the Republican investment program” – the President of the Republic said – “The projecting works have to begin in 2011 and in 2013 the center has to be ready for exploitation”.
Rustem Khamitov also confirmed that the Republic would allocate the means in order to equip the center with the simulators.
As Vladimir Kovalenok said, it has to be the center of applied use.
“The simulators will be located in the center – a visualization of the space environment and one will be able to travel through the stars there, to try various aircrafts etc. Technically this is very complicated project but interesting and if the center is erected, it will be the real achievement” – Vladimir Kovalenok said.
