The Chairman of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin paid a visit to the stand of Bashkortostan at the X international investment forum “Sochi-2011”. The double helicopter R-30 “ROTORFLY”, designed by the development department “Rotor” in the town of Kumertau, attracted his attention. The Premier was interested in the technical parameters of the helicopter and its price.
“Vladimir Putin approved the idea to establish a cluster for super-light aviation in the Republic” – the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov said to the news agency “Bashinform” – “He said that if we manage to start production of such helicopter, it will be the real breakthrough, because only ten companies in the world produce super-light helicopters and the market is growing as well as the number of companies and people, wishing to buy such machine. The price is not high for the helicopter of such class and, sure, that Vladimir Putin approved our ideas and wished us good progress”.
Rustem Khamitov mentioned that he had already negotiated the possible establishment of a super-light aviation cluster with the Russian Minister of economic development Elvira Nasibullina and with the deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Sergey Ivanov.
“They also support this project and asked us to introduce the complete data in order to find the investors in the shortest period of time and to launch the helicopter in serial production. I am sure the project will be successful” – Rustem Khamitov said.
