“Political advertising: honest dialogue or game without rules?”-the conference, called so, has taken place on September 15 at the Bashkir Academy of public service and management under the President of Bashkortostan. It was initiated by the regional public organization “Public Line” and by the public organization “The Eurasian Academy of integration problems”.
Representatives of regional divisions of the main political parties, public communities, commercial organizations, political technologists and experts in sphere of mass communications were the participants of the conference.
As the media-expert and coordinator of the conference Dmitry Trapeznikov mentioned, the theme of political advertising on the eve of the elections to the State Duma meets high demand. The analysis of the political advertising shows that ethically incorrect PR-technologies are often used in this sphere.
“ One is quite able to win the elections with “black” PR” – the pedagogue of the Academy and coordinator of the conference Elena Generosova underscored – “But for keeping the battle honest we have to work up certain rules and follow these rules later”.
After hot debates the participants of the conference have worked up the recommendations, which the parties and public organizations have to follow. All participants agreed to avoid using the technologies, aimed at jockeying with public consciousness, negative advertising, to refuse from the use of administrative resources and to work up the methods for control the pre-election race.
Participants of the conference suggested that the law-makers should work up the bill “Political advertising”, able to veto advertising of the prohibited parties, the actions, dangerous for the society, and to provide full transparency of PR funding.
