Bashkortostan and Ministry of sport, tourism and youth policy of Russia signed cooperation agreement
The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the Minister of sport, tourism and youth policy of Russia Vitally Mutko signed the agreement about cooperation in sphere of development of physical training and sport in Republic of Bashkortostan on September 7 in Moscow.
The document regulates development of the basic kinds of sport in the Republic – such as biathlon, bobsleigh, Alpine skiing, ski jumping, snowboard, freestyle, boxing, cycle racing, kayak paddling, track and field athletics, pentathlon, powerlifting and fencing. For the first time Bashkortostan will receive the means from the federal budget for these purposes. The sum will amount to 8,6 million rubles in 2011.
The agreement also presumes construction of new and modernization of already available sport centers. Making the conditions for going in for physical training and sport for people with restricted health abilities and development of Paralympic kinds of sport are fixed by the document specially.
In the course of the meeting Rustem Khamitov and Vitally Mutko were discussing the prospects of holding the World Games on national and non-Olympic kinds of sport in Bashkortostan in 2021.
