The delegation of the Ministry of youth policy and sport RB will take part in the international sporting forum “Russia is a Sporting State” in the town of Saransk on September 8-11.
The deputy Minister of youth policy and sport RB Vyacheslaw Chernov told about the readiness of the Republic for the forum in Saransk: “Every Russian region has to introduce the exposition, demonstrating the level of development of the basic kinds of sport. Bashkortostan intends to demonstrate eight winter kinds of sport (biathlon, bobsleigh, Alpine skiing, speed skating, skiing double-event, ski jumping, snowboard and freestyle), seven summer kinds of sport (boxing, cycle racing, kayak-paddling, track and field athletics, modern pentathlon, powerlifting and fencing) and seven Paralympic kinds of sport (biathlon, ski racing, judo, track and field athletics, tennis on wheeled chairs, powerlifting and fencing) to the forum. The video-topics, demonstrating the level of development of the basic kinds of sport will be shown on three 3D screens. Besides, presentation of the big sporting events, which are to be held in Bashkortostan in the future, will take place within the frames of the forum: the tennis European championship in 2012, summer biathlon championship-2012, youth ice hockey world championship-2013 and the International Winter Pupils Games-2013. Bashkortostan will take part in the division “The Alley of the Regions” at the III international exhibition “Modern sport: innovations and prospects”.
The staff of the Bashkir delegation includes the fourfold Paralympic champion of the Winter Paralympic Games-2010 in Vancouver Irek Zaripov (biathlon and ski racing), the silver prize winner of the Olympic Games-2006 in Turin Alexei Seliverstov (bobsleigh), the bronze prize-winner of the Olympic Games-1998 in Nagano Paul Muslimov (biathlon) and the 13-fold Paralympic champion Rimma Batalova (track and field athletics).
The program of the III international sporting forum “Russia is a Sporting State” includes plenary sessions, scientific-practical conferences, seminars, “round tables” and exhibitions, demonstrating the achievements of the sporting branch. Besides, several big international and all-Russian competitions will take place within the frames of the forums, including the international foot-race competition “Forum-2011”, the international ITF lawn tennis tournament for women etc.
