Ufa intends to start developing state-private partnership and the corresponding clause about order and forms of such partnership are already approved by the deputies of the Ufa Council.
“The theme of state-private partnership is an important constituent in our present life but unfortunately this notion in Russia hasn’t yet either strict definitions or frontiers but only certain projects” – the deputy head of the head of Ufa administration Azamat Sagitov said – “Nonetheless many regions approve their own regional laws in order to start moving in this direction and attract private capital in development of transport systems, the systems of education and health care and in other spheres. Such law is passed in our Republic. Other 34 Russian regions have similar laws and 20 regions are ready to pass such laws. Foreign countries also have wide experience in this sphere and we intend to use it”.
The clause, passed by the deputies, describes in details, how the state-private partnership should become a reality on the territory of Ufa. As Azamat Sagitov mentioned, the authority means the cooperation between municipalities and private capitals. But as soon as the notion of municipal-private partnership doesn’t yet exist in the country, local functionaries decided to use the notion “state-private partnership”.
