47 children fr om six Russian regions, wh ere Bashkirs compactly live – Chelyabinsk, Orenburg, Kurgan, Sverdlovsk, Perm regions and from Republic of Tatarstan and Kirghizia – had their rest in August in the interregional cultural-lingual camp in Baimaksky region of Bashkortostan. The camp, initiated by the World Bashkir Congress executive committee jointly with the Ministry of youth policy and sport RB, was working on the base of the children’s health center “ORLENOK”.
Every day traditional Bashkir festivals were held in the camp in order to acquaint the children with the traditions and everyday life of Bashkir nation. The young campers have also prepared a picturesque folk show, demonstrating their knowledge of Bashkir language and literature.
