Four painters from Ufa will go to the Moscow modern art biennial. As the art-critic Christina Abramicheva reported to the news agency “Bashinform”, the works of Timothy Dorofeev, Maxim Kolodilin, Rinat Minnebaev and Rinat Voligamsky are chosen for participation in the project “Art against Geography”.
“One can see the works of the masters from Ufa in the Modern Art Center in Moscow — at Winzavod within the period between September 13 and October 7” – she said.
Winzavod (www.winzavod.ru) is considered the most fashionable and interesting cultural site in Moscow and it often becomes the initiator of ambiguous, shocking but always popular and attractive events in sphere of culture and art, so participation of the painters from Ufa in one of Winzavod’s projects can be regarded as a substantial achievement both for the masters themselves as well as for the whole modern art of Bashkortostan.
The works of Bashkir painters will be introduced to the Moscow modern art biennial for the first time.
The Moscow modern art biennial will be traditionally held from September 23 to October 30. In 2011 the biennial’s program includes about 70 special projects, which will be demonstrated not only in Moscow, but in Yekaterinburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Kiev and London.
