The first Muslim library will be opened in Ufa on September 1. At present time the Charity Fund “BAITUL MAL” selects the literature and prepares the library for opening, as the Fund’s director Arthur Nasibullov reported to the news agency “Bashinform”.
“We pursue two goals” – he explained – “First, the information about Islam has to be free for everyone. Second, we want that the money the people intend to spend for buying Muslim books should be allocated for family budget. Here everybody may take any book for a time absolutely free”.
The literature for the future library is collected by the Fund jointly with the publishing house “Medina”. All books are preliminary checked by the expert jury of the Russian Islamic University under the Central Clerical Muslim Dept of Russia.
The library will be located to the address: October Avenue 85/2. Originally the book fund will be rather small but in the future it will be enlarged. Besides, the fund collects the literature for children’s homes and asylums.
