Bashkortostan stands in Top 10 of Russian regions with favorable climate for business
Republic of Bashkortostan holds the tenth place among Russian regions by the index of the conditions for business undertakings, in accordance with the rate, carried out by the all-Russian public organization “The Support of Russia” among 40 Russian regions by the presence of the conditions for small and medium business. The estimation of business climate in the regions, based on the opinions of local business people, was the main goal of this project. The results of the wide-scaled interrogation of the leading employees at small and medium business enterprises formed the base of the project. The rate of the region was formed on the base of “The index of the conditions for development of small and medium business”, which consisted of five constituents: “Realty and infrastructure”, “Human resources”, “Financial resources”, “Administrative climate and security” and “The system of purveyors”. The constituents consist of the indicators, representing the data, obtained in the course of the questioning of more than 600 respondents in 40 Russian regions.
According to the results of the investigation the main problems Bashkortostan faces are the shortage of human and financial resources, transport-logistic and power-engineering infrastructure. Business people in the Republic are well informed about programs of state support for small and medium business. Regional authorities pay serious attention to development of small and medium business, though this attention is not always enough sufficient.
As for the corruption, 56% of 100% of the interrogated answered they never solved their problems with the help of bribes, 15% answered positively and 29% refused to answer.
Same rate was carried out among the Russian cities with the population at one million people and here Ufa held the fifth place. It was marked that along with such cities as Kazan, Samara and Omsk Ufa can become one of the strongest competitors in the future and the quality of the conditions for development of small and medium business in Ufa could be characterized as “higher than average”.
