On August 4 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has visited the pedigree farm “ALGA” in Krasnokamsky region RB, where he was inspecting the process of fodder storage, the public affairs service of the President RB reported.
The pedigree farm “ALGA” specializes in cultivation of grain, leguminous and fodder crops, cattle-breeding and milk production. As the director of the farm says, for further development of the co-operative they have to modernize the milk farm, meant for 400 heads of cattle. In the future the farmers intend to increase the cattle livestock for development of milk cattle-breeding.
Low purchase prices and high prices for fuel remain the most painful problems for the farming.
Rustem Khamitov was interested did the agrarians receive the state backing in the form of the subsidies. It turned out that the state subsidies made up the fifth part of the farm’s earnings. As for modernization of the milk farm, the President RB has reminded that the first stage of the program “500 farms” is developed in Bashkortostan now. It includes the audit of all cattle-breeding farms in the Republic. The restoration of the most problematic farms will begin in Bashkortostan in 2012.
“We are going to restore at least 2-3 farms in every region” – the President RB said. Besides, as Rustem Khamitov reported the work on supplying the farmers with fuel at low prices and on subsidizing local farmings would be continued.
