Ufa is preparing to hold the Winter International Pupils Games-2013, as the Ufa Mayor Paul Kachkaev reported today. He has reported the corresponding application had already been submitted and the question concerning the selection of the capital RB as the site for the Games should be solved positively.
“I’m almost sure the Games will be held in Ufa” – Paul Kachkaev reported – “But we have to start preparations already now, since time is running quickly”.
The delegation of the International Pupils Association, headed by its President Torstein Rush, has visited Ufa some days ago. The members of the delegation inspected the sports of the city and were satisfied.
According to Paul Kachkaev holding of the Games won’t be too expensive and they can say about 1,5 million euro – this is the budget of the Games-2011, which will be opened on August 3 in Scotland. The pupils from 30 countries, presenting 70 cities, including Ufa, are going to take part in it.
The International Pupils Games are held in different countries since 1968 with the assistance of the International Olympic Committee and children at the age of 12-15 traditionally take part in the Games. About 37 thousand young sportsmen have already taken part in it since the moment of the Games’ foundation.
