Chicken eggs have become by 12,6% more expensive in July, the Ufa administration’s consumer market department head Zulfia Ishbulatova reported today.
“Such substantial rise in price is explained by the increase of the wholesale prices by the Republican poultry farms and by the cut-back of the deliveries from other regions” – she said.
At the same time, as the Ufa Mayor Paul Kachkaev says, in spite of such price jump the egg prices in Ufa still remain the lowest in Volga federal district. Prices for sugar and milk in Ufa are also one of the lowest. For example, milk costs in Ufa 10 rubles for one liter on average, while in Perm it is ten rubles more expensive.
