The contest for children “I Experience Islam” has taken place in Ufa, the mosque “LALA-TULPAN”, the day before, initiated by the Russian Islamic University under the Central Clerical Muslim Dept of Russia.
The pupils of the children’s camps under the mosques of Bashkortostan, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Samara and other Russian regions at the age of 6-17 were taking part in the competition. The children demonstrated their ability to read in Arab language, told the abstracts from Koran by heart and answered the questions of the jury concerning the Islamic basics – about the religion of Islam, some riots, the history of the Prophet Muhammad’s life etc.
All participants and winners of the contest were rewarded with gifts and diplomas.
As the initiators report, the contest is held by the mosque “LALA-TULPAN” for the eighth year successively and the number of children, wishing to take part in it, grows every year. More than 100 children took part in this religious competition in 2011.
