Medics from Bashkortostan won a Christian grant

The employees of the Crisis Pregnancy Center from the town of Tuimazy, Bashkortostan, have become the first prize-winners of the international contest “Christian Initiative-2011”. They will receive one million rubles, the Ufa Eparchy’s missioner dept reported to the news agency “Bashinform”.

The contest “Christian Initiative-2011” is held under the aegis of the Russian Orthodox Church by benediction of the Patriarch of Moscow and the whole of Russia Cyril by the coordination committee on encouragement of social, educational, cultural, informational and other initiatives. The contest is held on the territories of Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia, Moldavia and Kazakhstan.

The contest’s grant fund makes up 50 million rubles and the projects, based on real activity of the people, aimed at uniting of all circles of modern society around the traditional Christian values, are admitted to participation in the contest.

The briefing, dedicated to the contest, will take place in Ufa on the territory of the Godmother Christmas Cathedral on July 11 and various organizations will present their social projects there.
