Bashkortostan and Sverdlovsk region signed a cooperation agreement
Signing of a new agreement for cooperation in economic, social and cultural spheres between the Government of Bashkortostan and the Government of Sverdlovsk region has taken place in Yekaterinburg today. The document was signed by the President RB Rustem Khamitov and the Governor of Sverdlovsk region Alexander Misharin.
As Alexander Misharin said, the new agreement is called to boost several big projects in sphere of industry, power engineering and transport system.
“At all times friendly bonds tie Sverdlovsk region and Bashkortostan” – Alexander Misharin said – “More than 50 thousand Bashkirs live on our territory, being one of the most active parts of our population. Our economics are closely integrated and Bashkortostan supply us with the oil products”.
According to the Governor Bashkortostan and Sverdlovsk region will develop the projects for joint construction of water reservoirs. Besides, Sverdlovsk region intends to adopt Bashkir experience in development of tourism.
Rustem Khamitov in his turn has mentioned that not just economics but close spiritual and cultural relations tie our regions and the northern regions RB traditionally bend for Sverdlovsk region from the point of view of education and search for new workplaces.
“We will carry out our agreements with the help of real deeds and projects” – the President RB stated.
