In the Rosstat rating including the most polluted cities of the country, four cities of Bashkortostan – Ufa, Neftekamsk, Sterlitamak and Salavat got at once. The list was made on the basis of results of monitoring of air qualitygiven by Federal Hydrometereology and Environmental Monitoring Service.
So, last year in the atmosphere of Ufa more than 134 thousand tons of industrial emissions were registered. In 2009 this indicator made over 140 thousand tons. In 2002 to the atmosphere of the Bashkir capital more than 192 thousand tons of industrial emissions were discharged.
Last year plants of Salavat emitted in the atmosphere of 36,5 thousand tons of polluting substances. And here in Sterlitamak in 2010 emissions in the city atmosphere made about 60 thousand tons of substances, and in 2009 — 62,5 thousand tons.
Among four cities of the republic which are in the rating, Neftekamsk is recognised as less polluted. Last year 12,5 thousand tons of harmful substances were discharged to its atmosphere, the year before — 8,3 thousand tons.
Our nearest neighbours have much more low indicators. For example, in Kazan emissions in the atmosphere last year made about 29 thousand tons, in Yekaterinburg — 19,6 thousand tons, in Orenburg — 6,5 thousand tons. But in Magnitogorsk industrial emissions in the city atmosphere reached about 232 thousand tons for a year, the site ecorb.ru informs.
If we summarise industrial emissions in the atmosphere from all enterprises of Russia the figure turns out enormous – more than 19 million tons for the last year. In the rating of the dirtiest cities of the country Norilsk, Cherepovets, Novokuznetsk, Lipetsk, Magnitogorsk, Angarsk, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk appear leaders.
