The Rudolf Nureyev International Festival of Ballet has opened in Ufa

The XVII International Festival of Ballet Art by the name of Rudolf Nureyev opened the day before in Ufa with a ballet premiere — «Seven beauties» by Azerbaijan composer Kara Karaev.

«Seven Beauties» are staged on the scene of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre for the first time. The debut performance was prepared by the musical head and conductor Raushan Yakupov, the author of original choreography — ballet-master Rinat Abushahmanov, the scene-designer — Barbara Chuvina (St.-Petersburg), lighting designer — Serdar Charyev. Valeriya Isaeva, Andrey Bryntsev, Irina Sapozhnikova, Arthur Novichkov and many other ballet dancers are engaged in the performance.

The female and male leads, Aisha and Bahram, on the day of premiere were played by prima ballerina Guzel Suleimanova and premier Ildar Manyapov.

It should be add that the Rudolf Nureyev International Festival of Ballet Art will continue in Ufa till June 16. These days the Bashkir capital will be visited by ballet stars — Alicia Amatrian (the prima of National theatre of Stuttgart, Germany), Michael Kaniskin (the soloist of the Berlin State Opera), leading soloists of Mariinsky Theatre — Ekaterina Kondaurova, Eugenie Ivanchenko and Anastasiya Kolegova, the premier of the M.Dzhalil Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theatre Michael Timaev, the brilliant ballet dancer from Kazan Ekaterina Bortyakova, the virtuoso and the owner of Grand prix of international competitions Eldar Sarsenbaev (Kazakhstan).

Already on June 10, Natalia Sologub, the favourite of audience, the graduate of the Ufa choreographic school, nowadays the soloist of the Dresden Theatre (Germany) will appear on the native theatre scene. She will act in the role of Nikiya in the ballet by Ludwig Minkus "La Bayadere". The premier of Mariinsky Theatre Igor Kolb will be her partner in the performance.
