Mothers with many kids were honored in Bashkortostan on the eve of the International Family Day

Solemn ceremony of presentation of the medals “Motherhood Glory” to the women, rearing five and more children, has taken place on Friday, May 13, in the Government RB. The ceremony was headed by the deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Fidus Yamaltdinov. It looks symbolically that the action has taken place on the eve of the International Family Day, celebrated on May 15.

59 women have become the new owners of the medals “Motherhood Glory” and in a whole since 1998 more than five thousand such awards have been presented.

“Your status – the status of mother with many kids – is considered the highest in the Republic” – Fidus Yamaltdinov said, opening the solemn ceremony – “Now the priorities in social policy of Bashkortostan are given to family – the basic cell of our society and Republican authorities consider making favorable conditions for family life, for child birth and rearing, protection of health of mothers and children as one of its key targets. All measures, aimed at the support of families, are approved on the legislative level: various federal and Republican payments, preferences in payments for housing and communal services, free transport, free school meals and school uniforms. Besides, the families with many children make use of state backing in housing acquisition. The Republican authorities intend to fulfill these and other obligations before such families henceforth”.
