Festival of Polish culture is opened in Bashkortostan

The festival of Polish culture “Inflorescence” is opened in Bashkortostan. It is organized within the frames of the Days of Slavic literature and culture in RB. The festival was solemnly opened in Ufa children’s library N17. The director of the Friendship House RB Velmir Aznaev, the chairman of the Center of Polish culture and enlightenment “Revival” Marina Sadykova, the chairman of the Russian Congress RB Vladimir Samorodov, representatives of the Ministry of culture RB, Ufa administration, city libraries and the pupils of the national Polish Sunday school by Albert Penkevitch have taken part in the ceremony. The delegation of pedagogues fr om Poland has also arrived to take part in the celebrities.

The festival of Polish culture will last till May 22 and will be held in Ufa, Ufimsky region and in the town of Neftekamsk. The concert of Polish classical music, opening of the memorable stele on the territory of the school in the village Oktyabrsky, Ufimsky region RB, wh ere the Polish village Voldziki had been once located, are scheduled within its frames. Besides, the book by V.V. Latypova “”Poles on South Ural” will be presented, the literary evening parties will be held at many Republican schools and institutes. The visits to the museums and historical-cultural centers RB and laying of flowers on the grave of the Polish doctor Leonid Lisovsky on St Sergey cemetery in Ufa are scheduled too.
