The Days of Slavic literature and culture started in Bashkortostan. The Days are traditionally held in the majority of towns and regions RB every year.

The Minister of culture RB Oscar Abdrazakov addressed himself with the words of welcome to all participants of this festival and to representatives of all Slavic nations.

“Slavs honor the memory of the founders of written language Cyril and Methodius during more than 11 centuries and the day, set in their honor, is by right considered a state festival in Russia, Bulgaria, Czechia, Poland, Slovakia and Macedonia and widely celebrated in Byelorussia, Ukraine, Serbia and Croatia. In these days multinational Bashkortostan feels special spiritual unity of all Slavic nations and the uniqueness of every Slavic nation. Such festivals make our life brighter and more interesting and let us know and understand each other better. I am sure the celebration of the Days of Slavic literature and culture will further serve for strengthening of international and inter-religious peace and concord” – said in his greeting.
