Conference, dedicated to the 105th anniversary of Russian State Duma, is opened in Saint-Petersburg

The international conference, dedicated to the 105th anniversary of parliamentarism in Russia, is declared open in Saint-Petersburg, in Taurida Palace. Here the first gathering of the State Duma – the first Russian parliament – has taken place on April 27, 1906.

One of the gathering’s participants, State Duma deputy Irshat Fakhritdinov reports the chairman of the State Duma Boris Gryzlov, members of the Federation Council RF, representatives of State Duma fractions, international parliamentary associations, scientists and students take part in its work. The delegation RB, headed by the chairman of the State Council RB Constantine Tolkatchev, is also present at the gathering.
